Job Description
Our firm is looking for accountants with 3 to 5 years of experience who can work in a fast-paced work environment, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. This is a permanent, fulltime position (35 hours/week)
English proficiency is a must.
Minimum of Bachelors degree is required to apply
Responsibilities:
- Maintains accuracy and adherence to accounting standards, procedures and internal controls.
- Compiles financial data for individuals and businesses
- Prepares reports and condenses the audit findings (key points and outcomes) highlighting areas of concern or improvement
- Supervise staff (1-2 people)
- Prepare financial statements or reports by gathering and organizing financial records, consolidating financial statements
- Conduct field audits of businesses and verify compliance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act, or other statutory requirements
- Prepare income tax returns from accounting records in a timely manner
- Examine financial records for assessment and identification of areas for improvement
- Analyze accounting records
- Provide financial, business and tax advice
- Identify client’s financial goals and objectives
- Analyze client’s financial records and develop financial plans for clients
- Oversee administration of payroll
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Other Qualifications
Software proficiency in accounting software, Quick Books, Caseware/Caseview, Data Analysis software, MS Excel and MS Outlook is a must
Other Requirements

Travel regularly and travel cross-border (travel expenses will be covered by our company)
