Job Description

Our firm is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor with minimum 1-2 years of logistics experience. The incumbent should be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, meet tight deadlines and pay attention to detail. This is a permanent, full-time position.

English proficiency is a must.

Minimum 1 to 2 year postsecondary diploma in logistics/related field OR several years of warehouse supervisory experience in the absence of relevant education is required to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise, assign and evaluate the work of staff engaged in shipping, receiving, distributing, inventory maintenance, processing and tracking of orders, dispatch and scheduling transportation of electronic kitchen appliances

Plan and oversee operational logistics of orders

Ensure that the staff are compliant of company policies, procedures and safety standards by conducting monthly education sessions and taking appropriate measures to prevent staff non-compliance and safety concerns

Resolve problems in the following ways:

  1. Act as the deciding and signing authority to approve returns of major home appliances after review of the reason(s) for return and direct the logistics team to initiate the return process
  2. Oversee product return to the vendor by checking documents and returned products and by reviewing return papers. Creating and filing reports to minimize future returns
  3. Act as the reporting authority for the shipping and receiving team to ensure that the right shipment is delivered.
  4. Review the bill of lading for company records and as proof of product delivery without damage during shipment
  5. Review and approve customs documents for border clearance of international & US shipments

Train workers from the following teams in their job duties: shipping, receiving, distribution, inventory maintenance, processing, and tracking of orders, dispatch and scheduling.

Check with the inventory team to ensure that the stocks in the warehouse meet the current order demands. Approve new orders made to vendors, when necessary

Ensure that the teams under supervision have access to computer systems, equipment and machinery to carryout their assigned tasks. Order maintenance and repair work of the same when required.

Conduct performance review of staff under supervision and re-train or re-assign underperforming staff

May be required to perform the same duties as the workers supervised.
